Bachelor of Music in Jazz studies from Indiana University.
I love to play - and love even more opening doors for people interested in the creative freedoms offered by jazz. I firmly believe that learning even just the basics of this music can provide anyone (youth or adult) a powerful means of expression for the music within them. I like to make things relaxed and fun (as music should be), and enjoy working with both beginning and advanced students. Emphasis on improvisation & harmony, and other basics to complete the mix. I have over 16 years of professional performing experience, including frequent tours with Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band and several trips abroad as a Jazz Ambassador for the U.S. State Department. I also specialize in pop & latin music, and believe in technology-aided learning. Please give me a call if you'd like to discuss your goals.
